Campus activities and events

The Laurea University of Applied Sciences student union, Laureamko, and its International Student Tutors assist exchange students in practical arrangements and studies, arrange social activities, trips and introduction to Finnish language and culture. Laureamko hosts a range of different events like sports tournaments, parties, movie and board game nights, bowling events and other activities to help the students bond. Exchange students also have the opportunity to join the Jolly Dragon international network, which organises various get-together s and social networking events with an emphasis on fun.

Travel and Accommodation

It is recommended that you purchase your flights to Helsinki once you have your Letter of Acceptance. When you arrive at Helsinki airport it is recommended to take a bus to your accommodation or a taxi.

Fees and costs

Whilst studying at the Laurea University of Applied Sciences, you don’t need to pay any tuition fees. However, some universities charge small fees for the use of facilities such as the Students’ Union. If you have any queries about any these charges, we recommend that you speak directly with the host university. You will be required to pay for the following: accommodation, meal plan, health insurance and books. Students accepted on Erasmus may also be eligible to receive the Erasmus+ grant.
