Campus activities and events

Charles University offers a wide range of opportunities for students to pursue their pastimes and hobbies. Charles University has plenty of Societies to join and in addition they also host many Cultural Exhibitions during the academic year. Sport is an inseparable part of university life. It has enjoyed a long tradition at Charles University and students have scored many sporting victories. Student can benefit from a wide range of sporting opportunities such as Battle on Ice, Rector’s Sports Day and so on.

Travel and Accommodation

It is recommended that you purchase your flights to Prague once you have your Letter of Acceptance. When you arrive at Václav Havel Airport Prague there are various options to travel to the city including taxi or airport bus. For more information on how to get to Prague, please see Charles University website.

Accommodation is provided in Charles University Halls of Residence. You should only apply to live in an accommodation as an exchange student after you receive your Letter of Acceptance. For more information check out the Charles University Accommodation webpage.

Fees and costs

Whilst studying at Charles University, you don’t need to pay any tuition fees. However, some universities charge small fees for the use of facilities such as the Students’ Union. If you have any queries about any these charges, we recommend that you speak directly with the host university. You will be required to pay for the following: accommodation, health insurance and books. Students accepted on Erasmus+ may also be eligible to receive the Erasmus+ grant.
