Accepting your offer

If you are offered a place, you will need to complete the following steps to formally accept your place:

1. Submit your additional details and accept the student agreement
In your offer email, you will be asked to complete our secure online form. This includes some additional questions to help us better meet your needs, as well as the Student Agreement which confirms the terms and conditions of your #DMUglobal opportunity. Please read this carefully and confirm that you accept the terms and conditions.

2. Complete the bursary payment request form*
For opportunities where you are responsible for booking travel and accommodation, you will also be asked to complete our bursary payment request form to receive the #DMUglobal bursary.

Once you have completed the form, email it as an attachment to dmuglobal@dmu.ac.uk using your DMU email account. Before sending it to us, be sure to check that you have entered your account number and sort code correctly. We aim to pay your bursary into the specified account at least two months before your departure date.

* For opportunities where bookings are made by your Faculty, the bursary will be deducted from the total cost of the booking. You will not be asked to complete the bursary payment request form, but you will be asked to make a payment for the remainder of the cost to your faculty through the DMU online store. This will be communicated to you by your trip lead.

Important: if you don’t formally accept your place within 14 days of receiving your offer email then the offer may be withdrawn and you could lose your place.

What happens next?

After you have formally accepted your place, you will be invited to attend a #DMUglobal briefing session, which will provide more information about your trip, including what steps you need take next.
