Campus activities and events
At UM, there are hundreds of ways to get involved and make the most out of your university experience. UM offers a variety of extra-curricular activities and sports facilities for you to use whilst studying there. In addition, there are a range of activities specifically on offer for exchange students including: dinners and food festivals; cultural visits and day trips; and a range of cultural celebrations on campus.
It is recommended that you purchase your flights to Macau once you have your Letter of Acceptance and the required documents to enter Macau such as: passport and visa. When you arrive at Macau International Airport it is recommended that you take a taxi at the taxi station to the university residence – Residential College/ Postgraduate House. The registered taxi is either yellow or black color with the word “TAXI” written on a light box on top of the car.
Remember to show the Chinese address of your residence to the taxi driver as they may not speak English. The taxi will cost aaround MOP $70-80 (£6-7) to arrive on campus.
It is recommend that all exchange students should live on campus because you will be able to build social networks and integrate into the UM student community.
You should only apply to live in the on-campus dorm once you have formally been accepted by UM. For more information check out UM Housing webpage.
