Second and third year Photography & Video students are eligible to participate in this opportunity. The maximum number of places on this opportunity is 22 and the minimum the trip will go ahead with is 10. DMU staff will be accompanying the group.

Paris Photo is an exhibition that brings together the largest number of photography galleries under one roof in the world. Featuring both historical and contemporary photography it is a unique opportunity to view a breath-taking amount of exciting imagery giving a truly global perspective on fine art photography.
You will have the opportunity to research major bodies of work by famous photographers and the best in emerging new photographers. Paris Photo also features numerous specialist photography booksellers allowing you the opportunity to browse the vast world of photography publishing. Many famous photographers are on hand for book signings and talks throughout the day. You will also have free time to explore the rich cultural heritage of this wonderful city.
You will be accommodated in shared rooms in a good quality Central Paris hotel situated right beside a Metro station for convenience. Travel will be from Leicester railway station down to London where you will take the Eurostar to Paris.
Numerous galleries and museums, large and small, throughout Paris also feature Photography during the show month, extending even further your opportunity to see exciting photographic work. Research is an essential element of your programme and is a core element of many of your modules. This visit gives you the opportunity to vastly extend your knowledge of your field whilst allowing you the opportunity to experience one of Europe’s most culturally exciting cities.
Travel and accommodation
Travel and accommodation will be booked by the faculty for this opportunity, and students will be expected to pay the remaining amount following confirmation of their place. The #DMUglobal bursary will be deducted from the cost of the trip.

To participate in this trip, you are responsible for ensuring that you meet the French immigration requirements. EU nationals will not require a visa to travel to another EU country.
The #DMUglobal team can provide visa support letters as required, and proof of enrolment can be obtained from the Student Gateway. You must ensure that you apply for your Schengen visa as soon as you have been formally accepted to this opportunity by #DMUglobal. You are responsible for checking processing times and meeting all application requirements to ensure that you receive your visa prior to departure. Be aware that immigration decisions are made by individual embassies.
