Pharmacy students will have the opportunity to attend and present at the Dubai International Pharmaceutical & Technology Conference & Exhibition in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This is an annual event where pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists and pharmacy students (undergraduate and postgraduate) from all over the world gather to share their experiences and best practices. This is one of the biggest pharmacy conferences and exhibitions in the Middle East with over 5,000 people attending annually. The 3-day conference will have a number of plenary speakers, oral and poster presentations and workshops.
This conference will also provide students unique opportunity to present their literature review and/or audit results in front of an international audience. There is an exclusive poster competition for undergraduate students at the conference. Students will be able to interact with and learn from their international peers.
As part of the trip students will spend half a day at a local tertiary care hospital (District Hospital Dubai) where they will learn about enhanced services provided by hospital pharmacists. In addition, there will be a visit to a local school of pharmacy (Dubai Pharmacy College), the first pharmacy institution established in the UAE in 1992) with the opportunity to participate in a joint workshop.
Dubai is a haven for tourists. From sandy beaches to water parks to desert safari, it has a lot to offer which our students will enjoy. Dubai is a multicultural international city with some of the world’s famous sky scrapers (Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa, The Princess Tower, Cayan Tower and Rose Rayhaan by Rotana ). Students could also visit Dubai Museum, Al Fahidi Historic District, Jumeirah Mosque and Madinat Jumeirah.
