Cultural activities

As well as organised academic activities, you will have the opportunity to explore some of New York’s most famous and exciting landmarks, venues and districts. Museums you could visit include the 9/11 Memorial Museum or Ellis Island Immigration Museum. If you have a head for heights, you can enjoy the views from the top of the Empire State Building, the bar at the observation deck of the Rockefeller Center or the tallest building of them all, the One World Trade Center. If you fancy a trip on the Hudson River you can take the free Staten Island Ferry which passes the Statue of Liberty. Another highlight of New York is the High Line, a former raised subway track now converted into a park.
